How does food animal health impact human health? The One Health concept demonstrates how human health and animal health are connected and has been widely adopted to combat antibiotic resistance by national and international agencies that include the CDC, USDA, the World Health Organization, and the World Organization for Animal Health.
Dr. Amy Woods will discuss how animal health and human health go hand-in-hand, especially when it comes to the use of antibiotics in food animals. Dr. Woods will also share how pig farmers are committed to reducing the need for antibiotics for farm animals while ensuring their responsible use.
